The Sindh government has launched a free Pink Scooty Program for women training in Hyderabad to promote mobility and independence. The initiative aims to help women gain confidence in riding and support their access to safe, affordable transport.
The Sindh Mass Transit Authority (SMTA), in collaboration with KFC, is organizing the training at Niaz Stadium, Hyderabad. The sessions will run from December 18 to December 25, 2025, between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. During this period, women will receive hands-on riding instruction from trained professionals.
Officials said the program focuses on building practical riding skills while encouraging independent travel. Trainers will remain present throughout the sessions to guide participants and ensure a supportive learning environment.
Linked to Free Electric Scooty Distribution
Earlier this month, Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon announced the second phase of the province’s electric scooter distribution scheme. The initiative aims to expand eco-friendly transport options and strengthen women’s access to mobility across Sindh.

Under this phase, SMTA has opened registrations for free Pink EV scooties in Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Shaheed Benazirabad. The scheme targets students and working women who need reliable transport for daily travel.
Authorities said beneficiaries will also receive seven days of free training and assistance with obtaining a driving license. Officials described the Hyderabad Pink Scooty Program training sessions as part of a broader effort to equip women with skills and confidence before they begin independent commuting.
