Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has launched a new air-to-rail service for passengers traveling to the United Kingdom. Travelers flying to London or Manchester can now book both flight and train tickets in a single itinerary. This covers more than 50 destinations across the UK, making onward travel simpler and more convenient.
Passengers can add train segments while booking flights through PIA’s offices, authorized travel agents, the airline’s website, or mobile app. This removes the need to arrange separate rail tickets and streamlines the travel experience.
How the Service Works
PIA partnered with AccesRail, a rail distribution provider. AccesRail connects railway operators with airline booking systems. It allows train schedules, fares, and e-ticketing to be managed alongside airline reservations. Payments and ticketing are handled in one process, reducing confusion and delays for passengers.
The same system also benefits travelers arriving in Toronto. Passengers can connect by rail to eight major Canadian cities using the same integrated booking system.
PIA Train Booking Benefits for Travelers
The air-to-rail service saves time and simplifies planning. Passengers can manage flights and trains in a single transaction. Integrated scheduling reduces waiting times and connection issues. E-tickets for both flights and trains ensure smoother travel.
PIA officials said this initiative improves convenience for international passengers. By combining air and rail travel, the airline helps travelers reach destinations efficiently. The service also strengthens PIA’s global network.

Passengers can now enjoy a seamless journey from the airport to their final UK destination. The new initiative adds flexibility, convenience, and confidence to long-haul travel.
As international travel rebounds, services like this give PIA a competitive edge. Travelers can book complete itineraries with less hassle and more comfort.
