Pakistan has expressed full support for Saudi Arabia’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to promote peace and stability in Yemen. The Foreign Office spokesperson emphasized that Islamabad closely follows the recent developments in the country. Pakistan also commended the United Arab Emirates for its role in encouraging dialogue among Yemeni stakeholders.
Call for Unity and Negotiations
Pakistan highlighted the importance of upholding Yemen’s unity and territorial integrity. Authorities urged all Yemeni parties to avoid unilateral actions that could escalate tensions. Islamabad stressed that an inclusive and negotiated political solution, based on agreed parameters, is the only path to lasting peace. Pakistan expressed hope that these diplomatic efforts would bring relief to the Yemeni people and end the ongoing suffering.
Saudi-Led Coalition Responds to STC Movements
Meanwhile, the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen warned the Southern Transitional Council (STC) against military advances in the eastern province of Hadramout. Any violations that threaten civilians will be addressed immediately, the coalition said. General Turki al-Malki, spokesperson for the coalition, responded after Rashad al-Alimi, head of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, requested urgent measures to protect civilians.

The STC, backed by the UAE, had recently seized control of parts of southern Yemen, including Aden, and declared authority over eastern provinces like Hadramout and Mahra. On Friday, the STC rejected Saudi calls to withdraw and insisted it would maintain its presence in these regions.
Pakistan’s stance reinforces the need for constructive dialogue and international cooperation to achieve stability in Yemen. The country’s support highlights its commitment to regional peace and humanitarian protection.
