Pakistan fast bowler Naseem Shah has joined the Rawalpindi franchise for Rs 8.65 crore during the ongoing PSL 11 player auction held at Lahore’s Expo Center. The 22-year-old pacer was among the most sought-after names in the fast-bowling category.
Rawalpindi outbid several franchises to secure Naseem, aiming to strengthen their pace attack. Known for his ability to take early wickets and maintain control under pressure, Naseem is expected to play a key role in the team’s bowling lineup this season.
The signing signals Rawalpindi’s focus on building a strong bowling unit around local star power and express pace. Naseem is currently part of Pakistan’s squad for the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2026 in Sri Lanka and India, further boosting his reputation as a top T20 bowler.
PSL 11 Auction Highlights
The PSL 11 auction has seen franchises make major moves to secure proven performers. Lahore Qalandars brought back Haris Rauf for Rs 7.60 crore following his standout performances in the 2025/26 Big Bash League. Other significant signings included Faheem Ashraf to Islamabad United, David Warner to Karachi Kings, and Rilee Roussow to Quetta Gladiators.
