According to Meta’s notice, users should prepare for slow loading, message delays, and intermittent glitches. The maintenance is part of the company’s technical upgrades aimed at improving long-term system stability.
PTCL has officially notified customers about Meta’s planned work. The ISP warned users that even with proper internet connectivity, they may still encounter issues since the disruption is coming directly from Meta’s side.
Digital experts also pointed out that PTCL announcing Meta’s maintenance publicly is unusual, adding curiosity around the coordination between the two companies.
Businesses Expected to Face Communication Challenges
The slowdown is likely to affect:
- small and medium businesses
- freelancers
- online sellers
- digital marketers
- customer service teams
With WhatsApp Business, Facebook Pages, and Instagram DMs used heavily in Pakistan, even minor delays may disrupt operations, reduce engagement, and impact real-time communication.
