Pakistan’s automotive market has entered a new era with the launch of the Haval H6 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV). SAZGAR Engineering Works, in partnership with Great Wall Motors (GWM), unveiled the country’s latest hybrid SUV at a grand ceremony on August 16th at Lahore’s Expo Centre. The event showcased futuristic design, innovation, and a clear message—Pakistan is ready to embrace sustainable mobility.

Since joining hands in 2021, SAZGAR and GWM have reshaped Pakistan’s auto sector. From introducing the Haval H6 and Jolion to pioneering the nation’s first electric rickshaw and hybrid SUV, the collaboration has consistently pushed boundaries. The H6 PHEV adds another milestone, combining performance with eco-friendly technology to meet the demands of modern drivers.

- Rapid charging, boosting battery from 30% to 50% in under 30 minutes
- Hi-4 all-wheel drive system for superior control on all terrains
- 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds
- Smart upgrades including infotainment system, D-shaped steering wheel, mobile app integration, and external power output of 3.3Kw
Locally assembled at SAZGAR’s high-tech plant in Lahore, the SUV proves that advanced performance and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.

National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, attending as chief guest, praised SAZGAR for introducing advanced and environmentally conscious vehicles. He noted that as Pakistan faces growing climate change challenges, such innovations are crucial. He also emphasized the importance of after-sales service in building long-term trust.

The reveal of the H6 PHEV was just the beginning. SAZGAR also gave a glimpse of upcoming models, including the GWM Tank 500 HEV and Cannon Alpha PHEV, further solidifying its leadership in Pakistan’s new energy vehicle (NEV) market. With seven models already in its lineup, SAZGAR now offers the country’s largest range of NEVs.
