The 27-year-old boxer from Sargodha delivered a dominant 5–0 victory against Algeria’s Hamda Melissa in the quarterfinals. Fatima outclassed her opponent from the very first round, using fast jabs, sharp movement, and complete control of the ring. Even when Melissa tried to increase pressure in the later rounds, Fatima stayed composed and maintained her momentum to secure a clean sweep.
Fatima Zahra launched her boxing career in 2018 and quickly grew into Pakistan’s most consistent and successful female boxer. She has held the national championship title in her division for four consecutive years and has represented Pakistan in major international events including the Asian Games and multiple Olympic qualifying rounds. Pakistan has sent a 55-member contingent to compete across several sports this year, including Athletics, Wushu, Swimming, Boxing, Fencing, Ju-Jitsu, Karate, Taekwondo, Table Tennis, and Wrestling.
