Emirates has announced a major expansion of its Premium Economy service, adding Karachi to its growing global network. The new service will begin on March 1, 2026, bringing upgraded comfort and modern cabins to travelers flying between Pakistan and the UAE.
The airline confirmed that its retrofitted three class Boeing 777 200LR aircraft will operate daily flights to Karachi on routes EK606 and EK607. This update marks a significant improvement for passengers who want more comfort without moving to Business Class.

Emirates continues to upgrade its fleet as part of a large refurbishment program. The airline is introducing new interiors across its Boeing 777, A380, and A350 aircraft. These upgrades aim to offer a consistent and premium experience across all major routes.
Passengers on the Karachi route will enjoy wider seats, extra legroom, better recline, and enhanced dining. The Premium Economy cabin also includes improved amenities and a more relaxed environment. This makes long haul travel more comfortable for both business and leisure passengers.
Tickets for the upgraded service are now available on the Emirates website, mobile app, travel agents, and Emirates retail stores.
Global Expansion Brings More Cities Into the Premium Economy Network
Karachi is one of ten new cities added to the Premium Economy rollout. Other destinations include Addis Ababa, Barcelona, Basra, Cochin, Copenhagen, Mexico City, Rome, Taipei, and Tehran. Emirates will also expand Premium Economy on selected existing routes.
By July 1, 2026, the airline plans to offer Premium Economy on more than 84 routes worldwide. This shows Emirates’ strong focus on improving passenger comfort and maintaining its competitive position in the aviation market.
The airline stated that aircraft deployment may happen earlier if planes return from refurbishment ahead of schedule. This could allow some cities to receive the service sooner than planned.
The addition of Karachi is an important step for Pakistani travelers. Many passengers use Dubai as a transit hub for Europe, North America, and Australia. The new cabin option offers better comfort for long journeys without the high cost of Business Class.
Pakistan remains a key market for Emirates. The airline serves a large number of passengers traveling for work, family visits, and tourism. The launch of Premium Economy reflects growing demand for higher quality travel options from the country.

Industry experts say Premium Economy is one of the fastest growing segments in global aviation. Travelers now look for better space, better food, and a quieter cabin. Emirates aims to meet these expectations through this expansion.
For Karachi passengers, this update means access to modern aircraft, improved seating, and a more enjoyable onboard experience. It also highlights Emirates’ confidence in the Pakistani market and its long term growth.
As the rollout continues, more cities may join the list in the future. For now, the inclusion of Karachi is a welcome development for frequent flyers and families alike. The new service is expected to raise travel standards and improve overall customer satisfaction.
