The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a detailed road closure plan for Dubai Ride 2025, the city’s largest community cycling event. The event will take place on Sunday, November 2, 2025, and is expected to attract thousands of cyclists from across the UAE and beyond.
According to the RTA, several major roads across Dubai will be temporarily closed from 3 a.m. to 10 a.m. to ensure the safety of participants and the smooth flow of the event.
Roads to Be Closed
The following key routes will be affected during the event hours:
- A section of Sheikh Zayed Road between Trade Centre Roundabout and Al Hadiqa Bridge
- Lower Financial Centre Street between Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road
- One direction of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard
The RTA has urged motorists to plan their journeys ahead, use alternative routes, and allow extra travel time to avoid inconvenience.
Encouraging a Healthier Lifestyle
The Dubai Ride 2025 is part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, an annual citywide movement. Launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. The initiative encourages residents and visitors to commit to 30 minutes of daily physical activity for 30 days.
The RTA emphasized that these temporary closures are essential for the safety and success of the event. Which plays a key role in promoting fitness, wellbeing, and community engagement across the city.

The RTA confirmed that real-time updates, diversions, and closure details will be available across its official digital channels.
