Damsa’s First Episode Is Out And It Gave Us Goosebumps

Damsa is a new drama serial that has started on ARY Digital. It stars Nadia Jamil in the lead role and revolves around the subject of child trafficking. Its first episode aired yesterday and we still have goosebumps. Here are a few things we love about the new show.

Nadia Jameel is truly a superstar. Her diction, her body language, and her expressions are always on point. She has given a phenomenal performance in this show as well. She is a powerhouse of talent and this show kind of made us realize why we miss seeing more of Nadia Jamil on our Tv screens. 

The built up in the story

The story revolves around a very serious issue and the makers of the show made sure that you realize it and never forget about the main topic. From dialogues to editing everything complimented the story and the progression of the script itself seemed very natural which is a telltale sign of great direction. 

The Cast

Damsa has some very talented actors. We got to see Eman Khan, Shahood Alvi, Saad Zameer, Ayesha Gul and others in their respective roles. All these stars have given their best performances and it shows when you see the episode. 

Audience’s Reception

Damsa has been getting mixed reviews from the audience. Some are showering it with compliments while others are saying that it is way too serious to watch for their taste. The logic being that life is very difficult on its own, then why watch such depressing shows. Unfortunately, shows like Damsa depict a dark reality of our society and it is essential to face it in order to defeat it. 

Our Verdict

All in all, Damsa is a great watch for all those who like following dark, mystery series. It will give you chills.

Damsa explores the topic of child trafficking. The show is penned by  Asma Nabeel and directed by Najaf Bilgrami. It is produced by Shazia Wajahat. According to the makers Damsa is based on many true stories and is a small effort to raise awareness about this subject as it is happening everywhere.
