In a bold move that reshapes the pickup segment in Pakistan, BYD Pakistan – Mega Motor Company (MMC) has officially launched the BYD Shark 6, the country’s first luxury plug-in hybrid (PHEV) pickup. The high-performance vehicle is now open for bookings at a price of PKR 19.95 million on www.byd-mega.com.
The BYD Shark 6 is not only the biggest and fastest PHEV introduced locally but also the most advanced. It’s equipped with Dual Mode Super Hybrid Off-Road (DMO) technology, blending pure electric power with off-road performance. With a 0–100 km/h acceleration of just 5.7 seconds, it delivers 436 hp and 650 Nm of torque through a 1.5L turbo petrol engine and dual electric motors.

Built for adventure and versatility, the Shark 6 features Mud, Snow, and Sand terrain modes, a rugged Cell-to-Chassis structure, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, turning it into a mobile power station for outdoor use or emergencies. Its 800 km combined range, including 100 km all-electric (NEDC), offers unmatched peace of mind for long journeys.
The vehicle’s 50 KM/L fuel economy and 62% lower tailpipe emissions (USEPA) also make it a sustainable option for performance-focused drivers. The luxury interior features plush seating. Pakistan’s PHEV Infrastructure Grows with Shark 6
Hubco Green, in collaboration with leading fuel providers, will set up EV charging stations every 200 km on the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway by next year. Ensuring easy long-distance travel for NEV users.
