Veet, one of the leading brands in the depilatory category, manufactured by Reckitt Benckiser Pakistan Limited (RBPL), has pledged to support girls in achieving their dreams this Women’s Day. Under its flagship program, Veet Academy, the brand has launched a campaign called #BuildHerUp for women across Pakistan to mentor them and to enable them to pursue their aspirations.
Veet Academy is an enabling institute that has helped several girls, who aspire to transform their lives, by grooming them on its five key pillars of personal development which are Charm, Confidence, Intelligence, Health and Fitness, and Communication. Through the Build Her Up initiative, girls can send in their own entries or nominate someone else on Veet’s Facebook Page with their story of what they would like to pursue. Five lucky winners will be selected and mentored by the Veet Academy experts. Veet Pakistan will also provide them with the avenues to fulfill their professional aspirations.
Talking about this initiative, Humayun Farooq, Director Marketing Health, RBPL said, “#BuildHerUp is a campaign that is very close to our hearts because we know that women in Pakistan are capable of climbing heights, if the right direction is provided. Veet wants to empower them by helping them develop their personalities to be able to achieve what they dream to be.”
Veet annually reaches out to more than 300,000 women across Pakistan through its Veet Academy School Program with the aim of empowering them. From a population of 100,000,000 women in Pakistan, as per the Pakistan Census Survey 2017, very few women are pursuing their dreams. Most girls across the country do not have the privilege of receiving basic guidance to be able to learn and accomplish their ambition. The #BuildHerUp initiative aims to encourage girls to send in their own entries or nominate their friends and acquaintances so Veet can help them fulfil their aspirations.
