LUMS Graduate Makes it to the Forbes 30 List

Surely a proud moment for Fiza Farhan as the LUMS Graduate Makes it to the Forbes 30 List of Social Entrepreneurs. This prestigious endowment has been made on the basis of bringing clean energy loans and innovative impact investment projects to the poor, rural areas of Pakistan and in this pursuit, has been able to train 135 women as energy entrepreneurs; who have brought solar energy to 6,750 households.

Fiza believes that becoming a part of this will provide a platform to Buksh Foundation, an organisation she has cofounded, for the promotion of renewable energy/women empowerment on multiple tiers of the economy by catalyzing investments and diverse partnerships, globally. Further, it will also motivate other Pakistani women to realize their great potentials and in this pursuit, allow us to scale our energy inclusion while providing vocational trainings for Pakistani women in 2015.

Fiza graduated from LUMS with a major in Economics and a minor in Mathematics. She went on to do her MBA from Warwick Business School (WBS), UK. She is an active participant in LUMS Alumni activities and enthusiastically comes as a motivational speaker and for mentoring students.
